10 days in Mexico City. Having never been before and travelling alone, I wanted my gear to be as light and compact as possible. Instead of taking my trusty Nikon D750 with a slew of lenses, I opted for the compact powerhouse Sony RX-100vi. In theory it has everything I could possibly want or need, even with the SmallRig cage, still able to fit in any pocket. This would be my main camera for the trip and I had some high expectations for myself.
Once I stopped trying to shoot it like my Nikon DSLR and adopted a more snapshot style approach, I felt much more comfortable and fluid with the settings. I did have an issue where I’d accidentally hit the screen and changing the touch focus area as I mobbed down crowded streets. Here’s a couple of shots I’ve gotten around to editing… I have SO many to choose from!
